Time Off From Crafting

I am taking some time off from crafting for my Etsy shop and crafting in general ( as well as blog writing, even though it has been sparse with moving, etc) I am having some real issues with my right hand and I rarely type as much as I used to. Taking it easy on my hand and blog posts here will be fewer than I would like but the hand needs to heal.

I am completely moved and settled into my new home for the new 18 months. Enjoying my time spent with my husbands mom and grandma. I am also enjoying the country life and wish I had the homestead I dream of already!!!

Concentrating on school is also my top priority. Hopefully my hand will be alright when typing up research papers. I wear a brace daily for 20 minutes here and there. I wear it while sleeping as well. We are thinking ( my mom and I) that I could possibly have carpal tunnel. I am working on getting my Tricare switched from my old region to the new ( and also switching to Standard- which allows me to choose my doctors versus Prime- military doctors).

Anyway that is the update on Vorpahl life. I would type more but the right hand is screaming at me!!!

The Insanity Begins!

Well here I am! Long time no see! I have exactly a week and a half left before we move! ( or should have that week 1/2, we have had one hell of a time with our PCS!) The hubs is busy as can be daily with clearing and trying to push paperwork through as swift as possible.. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best!

This weekend we are going to break down the bed set and take down the heavier pieces of furniture down to the garage. I asked Jim to see if our friend Patrick can come and help. With my lower back injury I am afraid I won't be as much help as I would like to be! Hoping for the best on moving day though.

I need to make some tutorials! ALAS moving just gets in the way of things! I was thinking some simple tuts on half double crochet, and double crochet to start out with... We will see how the week goes though. Fall semester is starting the day we are suppose to be leaving too! I am trying to keep calm and prepare myself for school. Got to get into the mindset- prepare myself for school work. It is going to be very different from art school.

I am excited though! Environmental Science! I will learn so much and be able to come up with great ideas for sustainability! I wish I had more to type but I am going to work on a few of my writing projects and get this house clean. I am thinking today will be a good day to empty out the guest bathroom- you know, take down the shower curtain, clean out cabinets, etc.

Ciao!

PCS Prep 1.5

It has been awhile since I wrote a recent blog post. Things are chugging along nicely for the move. I went through my closet and filled up two garbage bags with clothes, shoes, and purses; which were then delivered to Goodwill. I packed a box of clothing I cannot fit into yet ( along with my winter clothes of course- no need for those either). I need to get back into the office to finish up the rest of the packing that needs to be done.

Jimmy's initial orders are for Korea- one year- hardship tour, with our home base as Fort Carson. Since he will be going to school to re-class/ change his job; I will be staying with his grandma. Of course I did some much needed thinking before deciding.( Never jump blindly right? lol) I know it sounds almost bad...it is not though. I am just a worry-wort and needed to find my usual "comforts" like an organic grocery store, meet up groups I could possibly attend, What pet stores are in the area, where the nearest vet is, and so on.

I also talked to Nan ( love her!!!) and that helped my crazy anxiety! It is wonder that I have made it this far as an army wife *wink* I have agoraphobia- severe anxiety and prefer to stay in my comfort zone (aka home). I love my husband of course so I manage to deal( this is good though- it forces me to deal with uncomfortable situations and so far it has been a good therapy for me-surprising I know); I might go a little bat shit crazy for a few weeks but hey! At least I can say the crazy evens outs.. hehehe!

Anyway! I am still without a good working camera but I do have some new listings in my Etsy shop. Here  are a few  below:
Since links do not provide pictures here is the latest jewelry set made by me

I cannot wait to get settled in when we move here soon. This way I can work on tutorials for the blog and other creations for the Etsy shop. I am looking forward to a good "vacation" from the shop.. While I am 'away' I will be working on a lot of things to add to listings- more stuff and varied.

I will also be starting a new semester at a new school! THANK GOODNESS! Don't get me wrong- art school is definitely fun and interesting ( hard work too) but I wasn't happy. I have a really good feeling about this upcoming semester.

As you can see I am pretty busy working on impending move, making a few items for the shop, getting ready for the fall semester and of course trying to spend every minute I can with the hubs. Well! That is it! A quick little update into the life of Lexxy! Not terribly exciting, but not totally boring... right?

PCS Prep 1.0

Preparing for PCSing! ( Permanent Change of Duty Station) My husband has his initial orders before he heads off to retrain in a different MOS ( Military Occupational Specialty) aka my husbands "job". So yesterday we began working on the office.

Previously during my spring cleaning I did shred a good amount of old paperwork, but it still wasn't all of it! So we spent our evening going through paperwork and shredding. I also packed up all  of my fabric and sewing supplies. A few things of "art supplies" were packed as well. So far nine containers have been filled and labeled.

I always prepare a bit early when it comes to moving. It makes it go smoother; there is nothing worse than trying to scramble at the last minute when moving! Especially for PCSing! It involves a lot of extra's and good planning on my part- the hubs will have things to do for the Army-paperwork stuff, etc. So I like to get some of the other stuff like packing, cleaning, etc all in order.

The military is pretty awesome though! They provide a good check list and other resources I can utilize.... well anyway! That is what the Vorpahl fam is up to at the moment.

Jimmy had leave so we have been enjoying a nice relaxing time together before things get hectic.

Over and out

Lexxy Life Bits and Thoughts

Well this just sucks!!!! My camera is broken! So no recording any video tutorials for me! I suppose I can do pictures with my phone, but the quality just won't be the same what to do!!!! I suppose I will figure out something right? Gah so upset though! I love crafting and love to share it with other people. It is funny I wasn't a big crafter until recently. It seems a rarity to find those who crochet, knit, make jewelry sew clothes,(etc) but maybe I am wrong?

At least in my experience/meeting of new people/ friends. I have yet to find a group who solely wants to spend their day doing at least one ( or two or three) crafty things. My day is not complete unless I do something like draw, crochet, make jewelry ( SPEAKING of which, I just made a few earrings- my first- they are in my Etsy shop). There have been nights where I couldn't sleep until I crocheted ha ha ha ha!

Anyway- currently working on crochet in the round- I made a small ball for my cat and then decided to attempt a pattern from Lion Brand- which so far is not going well- it is suppose to be a round afghan and it is more like a ruffled piece of crap! I did get some good ideas from a friend though! So I am going to go ahead and give it a try. I will be attempting to make it into a funky hat- at the end I am thinking of doing the Tunisian simple stitch to create a different looking rim.( wish me luck!)

ANYWAY... so switching thoughts here... I find myself thinking a lot about what it would be like to live very primal. The Primal Parent Blog actually covered this similar topic. ( loved her post- read it here-could-you-really-live-the-primal-life) my thoughts went to the cleaning aspect- I am pretty OCD I know it, I own up to it, and frankly I think being OCD is fine ( to an extent of course- OCD-ness in a healthy way ... ha ha ha...as long as your not letting it completely control your life hey I say have those moments where you slather on the hand sanitizer after using a public bathroom is A- OK!) SO of course I was thinking how does one keep things clean in a primal setting?

I suppose it all comes down to natural disinfectants and cleaning things properly to begin with- just need to do some more research on that subject ( or stock up on tea tree oil lol). I wonder what it would be like? No running water, no electricity, no video games! ( gasp). I have made it a point to turn off electronics and just sit outside on the balcony/ take care of my mini garden/ oasis or do something crafty. I have to admit the silence can be deafening.

I think it may take some getting use to and I want to. I want to know what it is like to live somewhat primal. My biggest issue is running water.. I love my showers... could I really give up hot showers? Could I give my video games- seriously biggest issue would be video games. I hardly watch TV ( I have Netflix- no cable- don't want it) So I am sure I wouldn't miss that... then I got to thinking- how convenient it is to go and buy yarn, fabric, etc.

So would I be able to give up those video games, the convenience of grocery stores/ farmer's markets/ crafting supplies/ and hot showers. I am not sure! I am quite sure it is a pain to create your own fabric ( how does one even do that by the way!) or how much time would a person have to spend creating  balls of yarn from wool.. the very thought just gets me thinking.. am I  a bit lazy/ perhaps spoiled by modern society?

Seriously think about! How many people have gardens that feed their whole family? What about hunting? Making clothes/ blankets and most of all I think about the hardships of women... I may use cloth pads, but imagine living out in the middle of a forest and dealing with the monthly.. Or giving birth without a midwife. I know people have unassisted births, but it is not the same really- you still have the back up of going to the hospital if something goes wrong.

Life would be hard I have to admit. Maybe if I grew up living that life I wouldn't notice, but I am sure that walking away from this world as I know it would be hard ( hey I love my food processor).
I am taking baby steps though to embracing more of a self sustained lifestyle. It is my main reason for really getting into crafts. I want to make my own soap, clothes, etc.

I suppose I may not be able to live in a cabin deep in the woods. I may not give up video games, but I can still do something that feels like the right thing to do. Less waste/ consumerism and more self sustained. I believe in being self efficient and trying to curb my impact on the earth. Humans are destroyers, lol, yes I know it sounds terrible Yet it is true. We use and use- but what do we replenish? What do we give back to the Earth? Landfills, oil spills, waste, and the destruction of other species- this cannot be the way can it people?

Maybe this is why I seek a simple life, a semi-primal life- to preserve our planets beauty/ life. I may be one person, but all it takes is one person making the difference. Hopefully others will follow.

My Obsession with Containers and...

Keeping my pantry looking neat! So do you have pickle jars? Coffee creamer or Parm cheese containers? KEEP THEM! Here's why:
Okay not sure these are the best pics they are from my phone! Sorry! So here we have my pantry all spiffed up
I organize the dang thing a lot.

The Rice, Black beans, Corn meal, and Dry milk are all containers I recycled and reused.

If you have read through the previous posts- this is an easy craft to do. You can use any paper you want and modge podge to secure labels onto the containers whether they be plastic or glass!!! Did I mention I have a thing for modge podge? It is my all time favorite craft supply ( besides paper  and yarn lol) This really isn't a tutorial just a CHALLENGE- Recycle and reuse some of your containers whatever they may be find a new purpose for that mayo jar.

Glass jars can be used for more than storing dry food goods! You can use them for homemade mayo and other condiments. You can make face creams, body wash and even shampoo- then place those in the jars!  They can hold crayons, pencils, small toys and even cotton balls  or Q-tips.

Keep those containers and jars I tell you! If you garden keep any plastic containers especially from strawberries- fill with the potting soil and plant your seeds, water, and close the lid- a mini green house- stays nice and warm for the seedlings and moist! I grew my basil babies this way ( and I have like 40 little sproutlings! It is insane!)

Do you recycle and reuse?
Share your recycled creations in the comments below!

Cleaning in the Green

I am currently obsessed with finding ways to clean my house minus some of my "favorite" chemicals like Lysol or bleach I have to admit I have OCD with a sprinkle of germaphob as you can imagine I favor things that kill germs lol ( quick note- I believe it is quite alright to have Lysol and bleach in the house for special clean ups, especially after sick children or shower/ tub duty especially where I live it is very humid!) Last week I had a "bad episode" of endometriosis pain and said THIS is it! So along with changing my diet I am also going to change what I clean with on a daily basis.

So here we go! So far I am still using one of my favorites I always buy Mrs.Meyers ( it is all natural)- lemon verbena its scent is mild compared to others So I dig! Lately though I have started mixing vinegar, tea tree oil, and water into a spray bottle to clean with. It is GREAT!!!! I use about a tablespoon of tea tree oil, about 1/4 cup vinegar and then fill with water.

At first I wasn't keen on the idea of the tea tree oil because of my hyper-sense of smell and sensitive sinuses ( I often wear a mask when cleaning with certain products or if I am having a bad sinus-y day lol)... I read somewhere to mix like 1/4 cup of tea tree oil for creating a household cleaner and just about gagged so I decided that I would try a lot less and see how it would fair.

My mixture has worked perfectly! I kept some old Simple Green spray bottles and filled one with the tea tree cleaner. So far I have used it in the kitchen and the bathrooms- so far so good.

So you can mix more of the tea tree  oil and vinegar into the homemade cleaner, but I have a hyper sense of smell along with sensitive sinuses. So less is better in my case, that  and I opting out of wearing a mask while cleaning extensively.

Enjoy making your cleaner! Seriously TRY it!! I love it! Now off to make something with lavender oil- ( I like to place lavender oil in my mop water- hot steamy water and vinegar).

White distilled vinegar, tea tree oil and the cleaner I made =^.^=
If you want to cover an old cleaning bottle take card stock or scrapbook paper ( with letters), modge podge,a paint brush.
Cut the paper to fit the bottle- use modge podge to glue on the paper to the bottle- after you do this paint the modge podge generously over the paper and around the edges make sure there are not pockets- The modge podge will act as a sealant so the paper will not get wet and ruined when filling up the bottle. I ran out of E's so I just put tea tree on the bottle to identify. I place the letters on the wet M.P and then apply more MP over the top of the letters- let dry for a few hours or even a day.

Sensitive Skin? Forgo this Cleanser and Lotion!

Okay so I am reading and researching a lot about the chemicals they put into our "beauty" products, call it my latest obsession...So honestly this whole time I am thinking well sensitive skin products can't be THAT bad, so far I am not having any issues skin wise- hmm what the heck is this ingredient though??? Oh oh oh oh! Think AGAIN! I was an avid user of Cetaphil until....

Propylene Glycol
" A synthetic liquid."
" Is used as an antifreeze."
" Used in chemical, food, and even pharmaceutical industries."
" Is used in the paint and plastic industries."
" It alters the skins structure- it allows chemicals to reach the blood stream."
( to  name a few things)

The Ingredients on the back of Cetaphil- NOT only does it have Propylene Glycol it
also has Sodium lauryl Sulfates and Parabens! ( I will go into these later)

All I can say is what the heck! ANYTHING that used for paints, plastics and your car should not be going into our bodies or onto the skin! DO yourself a favor and read those ingredients. Find safer products. The FDA may say this crap is " generally safe" but I am doubting their intelligence ( and common sense) when it comes to things like this.

Dr.Bronners is on my list to buy- 18 YES 18 different uses! I need me a bottle or two of this good stuff! Dr.Bronner's is organic and part of the fair trade!

Let the Diet/Life Tweaking Begin!

Okay so it says let the diet tweaking begin- and so it will( with some other things). I am trying to reduce or eliminate the pain I get during my menstrual cycle. In fact I am so sick of it. Even with eating primal I still have pain. Along with this I figured out my biggest trigger for my endometriosis pain- wheat. So I decided to do some research on the "Endo Diet" and see if I can't customize my diet to fit my needs. I love primal but there is a lot of meat involved - especially red meat- according to the endo diet you should eliminate red meat from your diet.

Okay so I can do this sort of- I have decided to eat read meat once a week. Cook gluten free foods ( it says to avoid all gluten containing foods), it also says no eggs unless cage free/ organic- which I eat so I will stick with my eggs- My meat eating for the week will be chicken, shrimp, pork, and fish. I will still limit my grain consumption. I noticed that while on primal and eating coconut  goods that my skin was broken out. Since introducing a few gluten free grains back into my diet my skin has cleared up- THIS I LIKE!!! I also notice better bowl movements- So I will stick with it.

Diet is so important to health! So glad I am tweaking some things to make it more enjoyable and hopefully heal the endo. I would like less pain. I will also drink less coffee and avoid any other foods that trigger my pain. I am definitely staying away from soy as well.

Along with my diet changes I will be switching cleaning  and personal hygiene products. No more harsh chemicals for cleaning this will sort of hard for me I already use Mrs. Meyers for regular clean ups but I love my bleach for the bathroom every few days. And of course no more weird chemicals for makeup, shampoo, body and face wash. I already use a natural deodorant and conditioner, just out searching, experimenting with natural personal products to see which ones my skin likes ( sensitive skin).

I will post my progress on all of this as it progresses. I am also doing a group challenge in my own health group on Facebook to get MOVIN MOVIN.

 The GROUP: www.facebook.com/groups/Lexxys.HW/

I am looking forward to the changes. I hope to post more on safer cleaning products, makeup, and personal hygiene products. If you have read through my posts you know I already use feminine cloth pads and absolutely love them. I have used organic/ natural cleaners, makeup, etc before- but it always comes down to budget... I am looking for budget friendly products and of course do-it-yourself projects.

I like to think that this prepares me for a life on the Vorpahl Homestead- ( our dream in the making). So far I am doing well I believe. I have made dish cloths, reusable Swiffer covers, fem pads, and stay tuned for my tea tree oil cleaner and insect repellent! ( and the mini veggie garden on balcony)

Now if the sewing machine and I can get along- more will get accomplished ( or maybe it is just jersey fabric- BANE of my existence!)

Recycled Magazine Paper Flowers

This is a craft I love to do often- You can make bouquets of flowers for gifts to friends and family members- it is easy -relatively quick and unique. You will need old magazines in all sizes. The flowers I made are from my old Avon brochures. The stems are from my regular sized mags. You will need double sided sticky tape, a skewer, and a glue stick. I also like to use a paper cutter for cleaner edges.

Take a magazine page

fold it to create part of a triangle- you will have a rectangular piece that will be folded

fold rectangular piece to create a perfect triangle

fold all pieces- tuck small triangular piece into center

You should have a perfect triangle

Now fold it in half

You will place the two bottom ends of the triangle together like so

grab your tape

I use about this much

I like to stick a small amount between pages to hold together

Tape it

You should create a cone of sorts

the cones or petals look like this

You will need to fold five petals for a flower

Stick glue in between petals and stick together to form the shape of the flower

this is what it should start to look like

A finished flower

The flower and stem: when you finish making a stem place so double sided tape around the top and the place into the middle of the flowers you just made press the petals onto the stem and viola! You have made a flower.

=^.^=

For stems take a skewer and roll a large magazine page onto it- put glue or tape on the page as you roll so it stays

....

You can make small, medium, or large flowers- the ones pictured here are small and medium.
For small flowers I use the avon pages but I cut they in half and then fold into triangles- repeat process

And that is a craft you can do anytime of the day- great to do while watching television! Or on a rainy day! It is so easy! Hope this tutorial was great! Let me know if it helped you and post comments and links to your own creations!

Today is Memorial Day- I take a moment of silence in remembrance of those who have fought, died, and served. I take a moment of silence for those who still serve. I thank my husband for his service... thank you to all military personnel. You are remembered...

Loving Saturday...

I love Saturdays, I get to spend the day with the husband ( Jimmy) doing all sorts of things. Today we are baking homemade bagels and bread. We rearranged our living room and placed the desktop computer & desk against one of the walls so we could enjoy gaming together-LOL- I know, I know! Couple of nerds over here! But I must admit it is nice to be in the same room with your significant other when he spends Mon thru Fri practically living at work! 0500 ( 5 am) he leaves and somewhere between 6pm to 7pm-ish he comes home! You bet your rumps I will sacrifice some "style" in the living room just so we can both enjoy video games in the same room and hang out.

So anyway! Along with our baking of foodie goodies we will also make some shrimp tacos with semi homemade tortillas we will be cheating here a bit and using a tortilla mix..It should still be scrumptious! At the moment I have decided not to eat as primal as I usually do.Sadly the number it was doing on our pockets was leaving us almost completely food-less by the time pay day rolled around... I will buy some rice and some flour just to get us through the month! Don't get me wrong, I love eating  primal I will definitely still cook some of those meals but if I need to make some rice then so be it! And I have to admit - this is odd but I was pretty hardcore primal the last few weeks before switching over and I was breaking out on the face and back- not sure what the cause of it was- but just a bit of grains in the diet and my skin has cleared up ( weird?). So I will take it as a plus. I am eating one meal ( sometimes two) with a type of grain. I am trying to make sure I am preparing it in the best way possible.

So overall I am enjoying my diet. I still feel pretty good and I am currently still at the weight I was last week. I think I will continue to eat some grains- especially since I LOVE my Italian cuisine! No offense you cannot make a good Pizza Margherita or Crostata di ricotta( like a cheese cake) without some flour. What can I say? A total sucker for a good pizza!

Along with our baking extravaganza- we are enjoying our little balcony oasis. So far we have a bunch of zucchini, roma tomatoes, and a green bell pepper growing! Along with this we have A LOT of little sproutlings- marigolds, zinnias, asters, alyssum, cilantro, and parsley. Along with this we have a lovely mint plant and our monster rosemary! We are waiting on the cucumbers!

The Living Room BEFORE

The Living Room AFTER- we still need to hang up the photos BUT I like the way it looks and feels.

Well that is it for the day! Have a good Saturday! Will be posting some tutorials here soon! Just working on the latest for feminine pads! Yes you will never hear the end of it! Ladies I tell you! Do yourself a favor and research them! I have never been happier- I also get to keep about 30 bucks in my pocket each month! ENJOY your weekend! =^.^= meow!

How to Do the Tunisian Simple Stitch

Today I will be showing you the Tunisian simple stitch or Afghan stitch. This stitch is so versatile. You can make dish cloths or wash cloths for the bathroom, baby blankets, and even reusable mop covers for your swifter!!! ( if you have one that is) You will need to purchase appropriate yarn for your project- for the dish cloths and swifter mop cover I use 100% cotton yarn and often buy Peaches & Cream. You will need a special hook for this type of crochet- You will see it in the video :)

Fits perfectly!

Tucks in nicely!

Hope the video helps! Let me know in the comments below. Have a good Monday and crochet away!!!!

Coconut Flour Blueberry & Lemon Muffins

Another recipe from yours truly

Coconut Flour Blueberry & Lemon Muffins

For ingredients you will need:

1/2 cup coconut flour ( I use Bob's Red Mill)
1 cup Organic Milk
1 Medium banana- ripe
2 sm cases of Blueberries
1 tsp Natural vanilla extract
1/2 tsp Baking powder
1 Lemon- cut in half- seeds removed
1/2 cup Honey
2 Cage free eggs
2 tbsp of Unsalted Butter
Muffin pans
Ice cream scoop
2 bowls one large one medium
Potato masher
A large spoon
Electric mixer with whisk attachment or whisk

Now that we have all the ingredients it is time to make some awesome tasting muffins- this recipe is friendly to those who eat gluten free- safe for people with nut allergies ( though always check ingredients of everything). I am sure the recipe could be tweaked to be dairy or egg free.

In a large bowl combine coconut flour and baking powder- sift the mixture around for about 2 minutes coconut flour tends to clump up.

In a medium bowl you will need to combine the banana, vanilla extract, .and eggs together- I mash the banana first then pour in the milk and vanilla extract-  Place the 2 tbsp of butter in microwave for 30 secs- then pour it in. Squeeze the two halves of the lemon into the mixture; then the eggs and honey.Whisk the mixture until well blended.

Pour wet ingredients into the dry very slowly and whisk again whisk until well blended and mixture is sticky. After you have done this you then grab a large spoon and pour the blueberries into the bowl. Gently fold the blueberries into the muffin mix.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Prepare muffin pans by lightly greasing with melt butter or spray ( something healthy!) Use the ice cream scooper to create the muffins. I scoop and then pat the mixture in with a spoon. Place muffin into pan and fill up the muffin pan and then place in oven once ready

Timing is a bit different for these I start out with 25 minutes but always watch it after that for about another 10 minutes. When the muffins are nice and brown remove them from oven and let them cool down.

Let me know how these turn out!
This was just an experiment and I am still getting used to coconut flour
These came out really moist they cooked for 35 minutes

Dry ingredients

Mixing the wet ingredients together- mashing banana a bit more :)

blue berries! ( we had them sealed- food saver awesomeness)

ze butter!

Mixed!

Getting those berries in there

Ready to be baked

......

molding those muffins

:)

Pretty!!!!!

Ready for oven!

All cooked and ready to be eaten with delicious butter

TASTY!

Enjoy and have a good rest of the weekend!

Frozen Coffee Treats

So these treats may not be especially primal friendly but I was getting sick of wasting coffee- you see my dear husband ( whom I love dearly) often makes WAY too much coffee and it often goes to waste. So this evening I decided to make sure it didn't go waste.

I mixed in some organic milk (  about a cup) and 1/2 cup of agave nectar ( the not so primal part) and then poured the coffee mixture into my handy dandy popsicle maker. The sweetener bit is all up to you too. You can choose to sweeten or not to sweeten. I am still making small adjustments to my primal diet so I still use agave- some people would say this is a bad choice but I say hey it's my 20% ( the 80/20 rule for keeping to a primal diet).

If your coffee is light to medium in taste they may taste funny once frozen we like our dark and robust coffees :) You might mix less milk in the mixture if you want to preserve the coffees taste.

Enjoy!
=^.^=

So here we have the left over coffee and popsicle maker. The coffee is still warm- so it is easier to mix in the milk and the sweetener.

What I used to give the coffee flavor

Stir the coffee, milk, and sweetener together

Pour the coffee mixture into the popsicle forms

tada! All filled!

Place in freezer for 24 hours or longer

I hope you enjoy the coffee frozen treats- I am trying to decide when I will have these. I limit my intake of treats but sometimes when it is near my time moon time ( period) I may have 1 to 2 extra treats to curb my insane PMS cravings!!! Out of all the things I never thought switching my diet and lifestyle to primal would be a pain in the rump when it came to that time of the month. Maybe as time goes on I will better handle these cravings... this little tidbit is for the ladies out there who know exactly what I am talking about... At the moment having extra snacks seems to help calm the insanity that I call PMS ( I really have PMDD) along with weird ass cravings I also have weird aversions to food I cannot stand fish and on occasion the sight of red meat makes me sick!

I am hoping as time passes as I work towards my goal of getting healthy that all in the hormone department will change.

Well that is it for today's post, I am in the workings of creating a tutorial for Tunisian crochet- I am currently working on some swifter covers- I will use them to quickly mop the floor in the kitchen.
